A Deusi-Bhailo programme, organised by Sagarmatha Taekwondo Dojang, was held in St Francis Church Hall where Taekwondo training takes place twice a week, in Ashford, Kent (UK) on Friday, 13 October 2017.

Main aim of the event was to raise some funds in a support of UK Nepal Team that is going to contest in upcoming 12th International Open Taekwondo Championships (IOFTC) to be held in Itahari, Nepal in January 2018. The event started at 7 pm right after the usual two-hour Taekwondo training session and lasted till 10 pm.

Instructors of the Dojang, students and parents enjoyed the evening in the presence of the chief guest, Mr Chakra Bahadur Rai (Chief Vice President of the Sagarmatha Gurkha/Nepalese Ashford), and other guests – Mr Shree Prasad Limbu (Ex president of Community), Mr Surya Gurung (Dirrector of the Peepal Morgate), Mrs Basundhara Rai (Chief Vice Ladies Committee) and Mr Chiren Rai (founder president of the Youth Committee). Chairperson of the community, Mr Bhaskar Titung who could not be there to witness the event earlier due to his other commitment, was also there at the end to express his best wishes for the upcoming championships.

The chief guest praised the Dojang what it had achieved in the past and wished the Dojang best of luck for the future.

At the end of the programme, the president of the Dojang – Master Rastra Rai – thanked Mr Nun Bahadur Thapa for his help and active involvement what made the event so successful. He then expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their generiousity, love and support that they had been giving to the Dojang.
